Meghan Avolio

Meghan Avolio Associate Professor, Earth & Planetary Sciences, Johns Hopkins University

Meghan Avolio studies plants in cities. She uses a combination of observational and experimental methods to understand how urban environments impact plant growth and evolution, and what people do to control the plants growing around them. Ultimately, her goal is to use plants to make cities more enjoyable for people and to ensure the well-being of plants and other organisms.
