Meetpal Kukal Assistant Research Professor, Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Penn State University
Meetpal Kukal assesses and improves the use of resources, primarily water, in agricultural landscapes to help farmers improve their profitability and sustainability. He uses measurements in the field and models to understand phenomena such as the amount of water plants use when stressed and unstressed; how soil and crops respond to various stresses such as temperature, drought, and soil conditions, and landscape scale responses to weather variability.
